About Undiscovered Cotswolds

After your morning departure, you’ll start the day by visiting the fairytale village of Castle Combe, undoubtedly the jewel in the crown of the southern Cotswolds. From there, you’ll continue on to Lacock. This is a charming village home to a wonderful Abbey and many small artisan shops. A place where Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, and many movies and TV shows have been filmed.

You’ll then head up to the central Cotswolds, to the iconic Arlington Row in Bibury, with its crystal clear waters and wonderful old Cotswold cottages. From here, you’ll head to the town of Burford, often called the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This is a very iconic town and home to one of the most beautiful and ancient churches in the region. Stories aplenty! This is also an ideal place to have a spot of lunch.

More Information on Undiscovered Cotswolds

After lunch, you’ll drive north to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. Here, you’ll have time to browse among cozy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops, and tiny tea rooms. The next stop is arguably the most famous Cotswolds town and regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England; Bourton-on-the-Water.

Also known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, there is plenty to see and do here. Then, your Cotswolds adventure will come to an end with a stop at England’s most romantic village, Lower Slaughter. Enjoy its beauty and walk along its babbling brook to an ancient flour mill as the sun gradually goes down. When the sun is low, and it catches the honey-colored limestone buildings, it is a magnificent sight to behold!
