About Moonshine N Wine Pigeon Forge
Are you interested in trying the infamous and once outlawed Eastern Tennessee moonshine? If so, this tour is for you! Part sampler, part history lesson, and part sightseeing tour, this experience is unlike any other tour you’ve ever been on. If moonshine isn’t up your alley, don’t worry! This tour also includes iconic Tennessee wineries including those bottled right in Sevier County, Tennessee.

This tour is a history lesson, a sightseeing tour, and a wine ‘n shine tasting tour wrapped up in one convenient package. Known locally as White Lightning, we will give you more than a taste of the one-of-a-kind drink, we will give you its history here in the Tennessee mountains. Plus, some of our most famous local moonshinin’ residents will be discussed.
These fine brew masters have flavors ranging from the hard-hitting traditional corn mash or rye, to the amazing and sweet flavors like apple pie and strawberry shortcake. We will try to get to as many as 4 local moonshine distilleries on this tour.
While some want to try moonshine, others prefer the more relaxed and delicate taste of a quality wine. As most wine aficionados know, the taste can change based on where the grapes are from. Here in the mountains of East Tennessee, we have rich soil and produce some of the sweetest grapes. Our flavors are unique to us and our part of the world. You will get to see inside the wine cellar and taste some of the magnificent quality wines bottled right here in Sevier County Tennessee. We will be visiting up to 4 different wine distilling locations on this tour.
Our route can change from time to time which can also change the number and type of locations visited. This all depends on the local traffic conditions at the time of your tour. We almost always visit at least 6 total locations and usually as many as 8, but it varies from tour to tour so please keep this in mind.
Tour departure time and return time are approximate. This tour departs from our tour office in the Shops of Pigeon Forge parking lot – 153 E Wears Valley Rd., Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Check in at Suite 10.
