About Stronghold Climbing Gym
The Stronghold Climbing Gym offers roped climbing, bouldering, yoga, full fitness, a cardio area, saunas, kids’ programs, and a vibrant climbing community. Climbing programs cater to both beginners and hardcore enthusiasts, with hundreds of possible routes on walls that reach up to 45 feet. For example, the intro to climbing class teaches beginners to climb safely with a top rope, and the lead climbing class teaches more advanced climbers how to climb and belay on the “sharp end” of the rope.
Fitness-focused classes and yoga keep physiques limber, strong, and lean, while other fun activities, such as the popular lights-out night, bring the Stronghold community together. The gym’s welcoming atmosphere and diverse range of programs have even been featured in The Los Angeles Times, Univision, and LA Magazine. Classes are available for ages 14 and up.

The Stronghold Climbing Gym offers world-class climbing for every experience level. Dive in with our Intro to Climbing class today! In this 90-minute course, your instructor will introduce you to the exciting world of climbing by teaching you how to safely climb and belay in a small-class environment. After the class, enjoy unlimited climbing, sauna and fitness facility access, and more. You must be age 14 or older to take the class.
History of The Stronghold Climbing Gym
The Stronghold Climbing Gym opened its doors in March 2014. They pride themselves on creative and professional route-setting, a friendly and knowledgeable staff composed entirely of climbers, the best in new and fresh holds and volumes, and being the home base for an amazing community!
Their many amenities, such as yoga classes, climbing clinics, weights and cardio equipment, saunas, and shower facilities, mean members can make the gym a big part of their lives. They promote responsible enjoyment of outdoor climbing areas and Leave-No-Trace principles. They are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment to train, learn, and develop a passion for climbing!
