USCG licensed captains guide groups of up to four through private sailing and powerboating lessons. Learn to sail in a safe and supportive environment under the expert tutelage of our experienced instructors. You will acquire the knowledge, skills, and confidence to sail a modern, mid-sized cruising yacht.
They love seeing how excited their students get when they realize that they can accomplish what seems impossible… learning how to calmly and confidently handle a yacht as they successfully guide it through the traffic in the marina and out onto the open ocean. It’s an experience of a lifetime.
Sailing Lesson
- All sailing classes are taught by USCG Captains at Blue Pacific Yachting. All instructors are also ASA (American Sailing Association) certified instructors and are enrolled in the Maritime Consortium.
- 100% in compliance with LA County boating regulations. Fully licensed and insured.
- About the boat: classes are held on the Tartan Fantail 26 with an environmentally friendly electric motor
- Two-hour, introductory sailing lesson/leisure sail.
Powerboating Lesson
- All powerboating classes are taught by USCG Captains at Blue Pacific Yachting. All instructors are RPBA (Recreational Powerboat Association) certified instructors and are enrolled in the Maritime Consortium.
- 100% in compliance with LA County boating regulations. Fully licensed and insured.
- About the boat: classes are held on our 2019 Axopar 28 TTOP (sports cruiser)
- Two-hour, introductory powerboating lesson/leisure cruise.
