About Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
Located on Ford Island, Hawaii, the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum occupies two massive World War II-era hangars that house the museum’s impressive collection of vintage aircraft. Expect to spend up to two hours or more viewing the battle-damaged airfield and control tower of historic Ford Island before setting foot inside the hangars. The museum covers 75+ years of Pacific aviation history, beginning with the attack on Pearl Harbor. Docents are available throughout the museum to answer questions and tell stories. Free guided audio tours are also available.

This tour covers over 75 years of Pacific aviation history. Full access to 50+ aircraft and all exhibits, including Experience the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor like you never have before, from the place where bombs first fell on that fateful day. Beginning with the attack and covering 75+ years of Pacific aviation history, General Admission gives full access to our 50+ aircraft and all exhibits in Hangar 37, Hangar 79, and The Raytheon Pavillion. Free guided audio tours are available in English, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is located on Ford Island, which is a secured military base. If you do not have base access, you will need to take a FREE shuttle to get there. Shuttles depart from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center every 15-20 minutes from 8:00 am daily. Shuttles run on a loop with the first stop at the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the second stop at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, and then back to the Visitor Center. The last shuttle departs from the Battleship Missouri Memorial at 4:05 pm. The last shuttle departs from the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum at 5:00 pm. Include an additional hour for transportation to your passport experience.
Good To Know
- Stand on an American WWII battlefield.
- See strafing marks and bullet holes left by the attack that sunk the USS Arizona.
- Admission includes access to 2 historic hangars, outdoor exhibits, and the Raytheon Pavilion, currently home to Bob Hope: An American Treasure.
- Located on Ford Island, an active military base accessible by a shuttle bus from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
- Free shuttles depart approximately every 15 – 20 minutes beginning at 8 a.m.
- Photography is allowed at the museum. However, photography is off-limits in some areas of the military base.
- Children ages 3 and under are admitted free.
- Visitors are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes and dress appropriately and respectfully.
- Bags are not permitted. A bag storage facility is located at the Bowfin Submarine Park shuttle bus stop. Fees apply.
- As mandated by the State of Hawaii, masks are required while indoors.
