Foundations of Freedom – 1654-1880

from the first permanent Jewish settlers in America to the great migration from Eastern Europe that began in the late 1800s, this exhibit explores what it meant to be part of the small Jewish minority in a young and still-evolving nation.

Dreams of Freedom – 1880-1945

explore the lives of the millions of Jewish immigrants who came to the US and shaped the Jewish community and the nation as a whole, beginning with the great migration through the American Jewish experience of WWII.

Choices and Challenges of Freedom – 1945-Today 

covering the influx of migration from war-torn Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the Soviet Union, learn about the post-WWII experience for Jewish Americans, suburban community life, the creation of the State of Israel, Jewish civil rights, and contemporary issues the American Jewish faces today.

Only in America® Gallery/Hall of Fame 

celebrate the lives and accomplishments of 18 individual Jewish Americans in this innovative exhibit.
